A Cool Experiment
Hi Folks...this is related to the user experience, so bear with me.Check out the following video and while watching make sure you count the number of times that the white team (wearing the white shirts) passes the basketball. This is important, so make sure you count every change of hands. When finished, come back here and record your answer in the comments.
View the video here...Remember: Count the number of times the white team passes the ball
Don't look at the comments until you've watched the video...

By way I won't give it away, but very clever!

I counted 19. And I did spot our hairy friend. Seen a much more complicated version on a UK show call Brainiac, they use someone dressed as a bumble-bee which I didn't see the first time!

If you watch the video more than once and don't focus on the white team, you'll see what Aiden and Carl are talking about. I'll reveal why tomorrow...

14 (and I totally missed the h. f. until the second time I watched)

Yep...most people should miss it based on the way our brains work. :-)
Interestingly enough, you also can't ignore it once you know it is there.

To me it seemed that some people throwed a ball around. It didn't really matter if they were black or white.

The monkey is really distracting. I almost lost count. 14?

There are 15 white ball passes, though there's a spot where the viewer can be excused for missing one, since the white team member actually has her back to the camera passing to someone who she is obstructing, who then immediately passes to their right, so it looks like one pass, but if you happen to glimpse the ball just right you can see it's two.
The black passes the ball 17 times.
Also, they clearly try to obscure bounce passes and confuse you with dribbles. I'm pretty sure there's at least one travelling foul in there.
Unfortunately, I knew about the chest pounder in advance. So I'm not much of a test case.

I wonder if this is why there is just a teenie tiny bit of an issue with eye witness testimony...Yes officer, 15 times, that's what happened...Anything else you say? Hmmm, nope, just folks in white shirts passing a basketball around, that's it.
Or in Notes-land; What do you mean, you didn't see that grey button on the grey background sitting right there in front of your face at the top of the screen mixed in with all of that color and action on the rest of the form? You know the one that says 'HELP'? Weren't you LOOKING????

I counted 15, watched it twice to make sure. I can't believe I totally missed h.f. When I went back to watch the video to look for him after reading the comments I just could not believe that I had missed him to begin with.

I counted 14 the first time and I'm amazed to say that I didn't see the fuzzy guy AT ALL the first time I watched. Freaked me out when I realized that I could be so unobservant - or is it that I'm just very focused (lol)

I counted 14 after consulting the official in the replay booth, and I had no idea that Bill Buchan appeared in videos too!:-)

15, but the one is a bit sneaky and I saw the gorilla the first time but I did not notice him walking in/out until the second time.

I counted 15, and thought I saw a strange head move by. I didn't actually see HF until the second time, when I just watched the movie.

Amazingly, I totally missed it. That's totally trippy. I wonder what else am I missing?
