I feel your "pain" sir - we're having a screening party at the house tonight - a large group of 8yr olds (lead by my daughter) will be staying up past their bedtimes and sleeping over just to catch the show.
@Chris...Thanks! I'm glad to know that I am not alone. I was lucky enough to avoid the first one, but I promised my youngest that'd we have an father-daughter HSM2 event! My biggest fear is that I'll not be able to get the songs out of my head! :-D
I have to say, though, that many of the Disney Channel shows are pretty good. I can actually watch "Phil of the Future", "The Suite Life" and "Hannah Montana". Scary, eh?
My 10 yr old daughter is going to a birthday party tonight. It is centered around the release of the movie. I also find that the Disney shows are the only thing close to the shows I grow up with on Friday night. That was in the late 70s and early 80s.
Same here too. I have an 8 yr old who is going to her friends house for a HSM2 party. Got to give Disney credit for putting out shows that they can watch without having to worry about content.

That's why our "children" are a pair of cats.

Oh, no. My 7 year old son loved the first movie. And he insists on watching it in English for some reason (we only dub movies for children in Norway).
And the music! Gaaaah! Somebody give me an ear enema!
